Rachel Dingman, Penn State
Rachel grew up in Dingman’s Ferry Pennsylvania. She graduated from Allegheny College in 2008 with a degree in Philosophy and Psychology. After Allegheny she served 2 years in AmeriCoprs with Maine Campus Compact working on service learning and community building between college campuses and local towns. She then returned to Allegheny where she spent 5 years as an Assistant Director of Admissions and the Hillel Director. Along the way Rachel received her Master's in Organizational Leadership and non-profit management. Most recently Rachel spent the last 2 years in Israel at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies learning Jewish texts, exploring Israel, and getting a certificate in Jewish Experiential Education. She is now the Assistant Director at Penn State Hillel and is THRILLED to be a part of JLF and get a chance to dive into text with the students! In her free time you can find her playing Roller Derby, enjoying the outdoors, or cooking.
