Micah Ariel-Rohr, Wisconsin
Micah Ariel-Rohr is an educator, organizer, activist, and recovering nudnik, among other things. He comes to UW Hillel from Chicago having most recently been a teacher in the Chicago Public Schools, with his wife, Julia (a Ph.D. student in the School of Business), and his dog Zissel.
At Hillel, Micah’s role is to help students develop their own identities as Jewish adults and support them as they find ways of engaging with the Jewish community on their own terms.
Before teaching, Micah spent many years in the outdoor and cycling industries and continues to enjoy getting outside and being involved in all sorts of activities from bike racing to bouldering and more. Micah also enjoys plenty of indoor pursuits, like reading, talking over coffee, and trying his best to keep his plants alive.
He holds an M.Ed. and a B.A. in Leadership and Development, both from DePaul University.
