Leah Kahn, UC Berkeley
Leah Kahn is the Rabbi Martin Ballonoff Senior Jewish Educator at Berkeley Hillel. She oversees the Berkeley Hillel Fellowship Program, which offers 13 unique fellowships, serving over 150 students a year. She teaches regularly, and mentors and trains staff to enhance the educational content and offerings of Berkeley Hillel. Leah is a professional modern dancer and a certified yoga instructor, and is currently developing new methodologies for exploring identity through movement with emerging adults. She started her Hillel career as the Director of Engagement at the University of Chicago, where she was instrumental in building innovative approaches to engage a variety of students. Leah holds an MA in Jewish Studies and Experiential Education from the Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies, and a certificate in Jewish Studies from The Pardes Institute in Jerusalem, where she studied for three years. Leah is a recipient of the Covenant Foundation's 2016 Pomegranate Prize.
